Browns White-Out Series Uniforms: Origin And Design Details Of Cleveland’s Latest Jerseys

Browns’ new alternate throwback uniform look is highlighted by new helmets.

The Browns are throwing it back with a special uniform-helmet combo this year.

In addition to bringing back their same white throwback jerseys the team wore in 2021, Cleveland has added a white alternate helmet to the lineup.

It’s the first time the whiteout look will be worn by the Custom jersyes the franchise was born in 1946 and the first time the Browns have worn a non-orange helmet in over seven decades.

The white helmet includes an orange and brown stripe down the middle.

We’re super fired up and really excited to have this opportunity to wear an alternate helmet,

executive vice president and partner JW Johnson said in a release.

     

We decided to go with the white helmet for a couple reasons it harkens back to our past, and a lot of our greatest players wore white helmets. We also heard from our fans that it was the direction they wanted. We always want to continue having great fan interaction and deliver for them as much as we possibly can.

The team revealed the new look on posting a video of David Njoku modeling it on their social media:

Fans won’t have to wait long to see the helmets, either.

The Browns will debut them in Week 2 against the Steelers on the road for Monday Night Cleveland Browns Jerseys Football. They will then make their home debut at

Cleveland Browns Stadium in Week 6 against the 49ers. They’ll close out their home slate in them as well in Week 17 against the Jets on Thursday Night Football.

Fans are encouraged to wear white for these games as well.

The Browns wore a white helmet for the first six years of franchise history, but shifted to the orange shell in 1951.
